Kindra is an amateur genealogist, school psychologist, and widow under the age of forty. She has completed extensive research on her mother’s side of her family, but she’s never even met her father. A singing sword calls Kindra to defend her father’s family from evil, even though Kindra has never even met anyone in that family…and they live in a different realm.
Kindra’s crash-course in her father’s family tree, results in Kindra discovering she is not human. Well, not entirely human anyway. It is also worth mentioning that she is an Elven princess with magical powers and she might be the only person who can save the Kingdom of Lillerem. Kindra will need to choose between risking her life to defend her royal Elven family from her uncle, and remaining in the human realm with her mother and best friend.

She and her canine duo team up with Kindra in an attempt to banish Ulford’s Assassins from the human realm.

Jess and Kindra are losing the battle, but unexpected aid arrives from Syndral, one of Ulford’s former soldiers. She promises information on each of the assassins in exchange for her chance at revenge for the enslavement of her family members. Is there a way to push the assassins out of the realm? Can Syndral be trusted, or is she still working to earn Ulford’s coin? Kindra and Jess’s lives, as well as the life of one special teenage elf, depend on the choices they make.
